2026-27 Kindergarten Registration opens March 1st!

The first proper day of kindergarten for all students is TBD, but there are two important events prior to that day:

All families will meet with their teacher for a one-on-one family meeting on either TBD.
Half of the students will have a practice first day of school on TBD, and the other half will come for their first day on TBD.

In mid-August, your child's school will reach out to you to schedule both the family meeting and the practice first day of school. This schedule leaves some uncertainty prior to TBD, but the gentle approach allows students to ease into their kindergarten year with time to get to know their teacher and the classroom.

You can register online if ALL of the following apply:

Your child is NEW to PPS
Your students did NOT attend a PPS Pre-K locations: Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Clarendon, Creston Annex, Dr. MLK Jr, Faubion, Grout, Jason Lee, Kelly, Marysville, Lent, Rosa Parks, Sacajawea, Sitton, Whitman, Woodlawn
Your student does NOT have an IFSP and did NOT receive services from Multnomah Early Childhood Program (MECP)
You are enrolling your child in your neighborhood school and NOT a CBO/Charter
You have an email address and access to a computer

Important Dates:

March 1st - 2026-27 Enrollment Opens

March 13th at 9:30am - Kindergarten Connect Info Session. (This is a parent-focused event)

April 14th at 5:00pm - FAQ session with the Principal and staff along with Kindergarten classroom tour. Children and parents welcome!

June 9th & August TBD at 3pm - Kindergarten Popsicle Social! This is a great opportunity to meet other incoming kindergarten families and make connections.
